XP + Android Netbook Experiment Not Dead?

When Acer released a dual boot Windows/Android netbook a few months ago, many were excited about the potential of the device. Months have passed, and the device never really took off. Apparently, Acer is not ready to close to door on that experiment. How else can you explain Acer Aspire One AOD255, which happens to feature a N450 processor, 1 GB RAM, and 160 hard drive. This netbook takes advantage of both XP and Android operating systems to handle all your needs on your netbook.

We have no word on the price of this unit. Android does have a potential on devices such as netbooks. It may be more popular among tablet makers, but netbooks are not yet by a long shot. Android netbooks won’t be mainstream or iPad killers anytime soon, but they will be in demand.

The device is expected to start selling for $350. Good luck getting your hands on one.
