Why & How To Install Pixel Qi display for Netbooks

Netbooks are great tiny devices to get work done on the road, but they do have some of the short-comings of their bigger siblings. For starters, you almost can’t see anything on their screen when you are outside. The battery life may be great on some of these top netbook units, but it could certainly be improved. Pixel Qi display is a cool solution that give netbook owners the chance to add a reading mode to their netbook by turning off their devices’ backlight.

Pixel Qi display may not be cheap, but it puts less pressure on your eyes and gives you the flexibility to switch between modes easily (more videos after the break).

These displays will cost you $275, so they are not exactly cheap either. But they do add a whole new dimension to netbooks. They are easy to install too. What’s not to like?
