Turn Your iPad Into a Netbook with Clamcase

A lot of laptop owners give Apple iPad grief for not having a physical keyboard. That’s a valid complaint if one intends to type a lot of words on an iPad. The virtual keyboard is decent for typing a fairly small amount of text. But if you intend to type thousands of words on your iPad, you are going to need a keyboard. Thanks to Clamcase, you can turn your iPad into a netbook and protect it against daily damages and accidents at the same time:

Clamcase is a plastic case that can keep your iPad safe against dust, dirt, and breakage. It has a bluetooth that connects with your iPad seamlessly, turning your iPad into a mini notebook of sorts. One can connect this keyboard to other devices as well (e.g. PS 3).

It’s a 360-degree flip case. That means you have a lot of flexibility when using your iPad inside this case. Clamcase can act as a stand for your iPad as well, giving you the opportunity to operate your iPad hands-free.

At this point, there is no information on the exact date that this case will be released. It will be sometime in Fall 2010. It does seem like it’s worth waiting for (but we can’t be sure until we test it). While iPad is still incapable of doing somethings that your netbook can, giving you the ability to type fast is not one of those if you pick up this case.
