Toshiba mini NB250: Netbook with a Full-Size Keyboard

One of the biggest issues with netbooks is the size of their keyboards. People who have gotten used to regular keyboards often find it difficult to adapt to those smaller boards. If you are a fast typist, your speed could be affected on those smaller computers. So what are you going to do if you are Toshiba? You put a full-size keyboard on the top of your netbook. That’s what Toshiba mini NB250 is all about:

The mini NB250’s small size doesn’t compromise its usability: the netbook has a full-size keyboard and a large touchpad to comfortably type text and navigate through menus and pages.

Keyboard aside, NB250 offers the standard features that one can find in top netbooks today. It will have a N455 processor, 1 GB RAM, and takes advantage of Intel GMA 3150 graphics. It does offer about 8.5 hours of battery, which is not bad.

The bad news is, we may not get this laptop in this side of the world anytime soon. It will be available for sale in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa this summer. The addition of a full size keyboard to netbooks is an idea other netbook makers should try as well.
