Toshiba Debuts Android AC100 Netbook

Android netbooks did not take off as well as many experts expected. But there is still a market out there for them. These netbooks will only get better as Android platform improves and packs more power. Toshiba AC100 is the company’s first Android netbook that takes advantage of a NVIDIA® Tegra™ 250 Mobile Processor (1 GHZ) and runs Android 2.1. As you can tell, this netbook is not exactly designed for heavy duty tasks. But it does have enough power to handle regular tasks.

  • Processor: NVIDIA® Tegra™ 250 Mobile Processor (1GH, ARM)
  • OS: Android 2.1
  • RAM: 512 MB DDR2 (333 MHz)
  • Display: (10.1”) TruBrite® display with LED backlight, 1,024 x 600 pixels
  • Networking: Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR*, WLAN (802.11 b/g/n)
  • Ports: 1 x USB 2.0, 1x Mini USB, Card Reader (SD, MMC), Audio out/Mic in combo socket, HDMI®
  • Webcam: 1.3 MPixel Webcam with integrated microphone

We still do not know how much this device will cost. It is safe to say it will get some attention from Android fans.
