ASUS netbooks need no introduction. If you are looking for a portable, yet powerful machine to take with you during your business trips or get your college work done, you won’t go wrong with ASUS netbooks. ASUS is known for manufacturing energy efficient laptops, but it has certainly outdone itself with 1005HA. The Super Hybrid Engine used in this laptop lets you get 10.5 hours of battery life out of each charge. That alone can be a great reason to get your hands on this netbook.

Key Features:

It’s not hard to know what to expect from an Eee PC. These gadgets have been around for a while, so you know you are going to get something very portable and powerful at the same time. Here is exactly what you get:

Battery: Up to 10.5 Hours of Battery Life

CPU: Intel Atom N280 Processor 1.66GHz (latest)

RAM: 1GB DDR2 RAM which you can upgrade to 2GB;

Networking: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n

Storage: 160GB SATA Hard Drive (5400 RPM)

Webcam: 1.3MP webcam for video conferences and chat.

Weight: only 2.8 lbs.

Online Storage: 10GB Free Eee Storage

OS: Windows XP Home Operating System

Display: 10.1-inch WSVGA 1024×600 LCD Display

I found the keyboard to be much easier to work with. The design is certainly slick, and the device is so portable, you are not going to feel as if you are actually holding a real laptop. The Eee PC 1005HA includes numerous easily accessible ports including 3 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x VGA port, 2 x Audio input/output ports, 1 x RJ-45 port, and a Kensington Lock port. And you are not going to have any issues connecting to fast networks with your 1005HA netbook. It comes with wireless N capability, which is really a must have these days.

The Eee PC 1005HA-P comes with 170GB of ASUS Hybrid Storage, which includes a 160GB hard disk drive and 10GB of FREE Eee Online Storage. I would use the 10 GB online storage for things that you want to protect at all costs. You can also store images of your current install on it if you can get it down to 10 GB in size. I would have preferred if the storage was free for life, but it does expire after 18 months unless you become a paying customer.

netbook ratings soon. It’s powerful, light, and energy efficient. If you are looking for a top of the line netbook, 1005 HA Eee PC is worth a serious look.
HP Mini 1115NR Netbook is one of many subsidized netbooks on the market (available through Verizon). It’s designed with convenience and portability in mind. If you are a fan of HP products, you are going to be familiar with what you get with 1115 NR. The device weighs only 2.25 and only 1″ thin, making it a super portable laptop solution for those who are constantly on the go.

You get the standard N270 CPU with this netbook. You also get Windows XP, which is the case with most netbooks. The keyboard is nearly full size (92%), so you should have too much trouble adapting to this machine. The screen size is 8.9″ which is a bit small for my taste, but what a lot of people have come to love. You also get 16 GB solid state drive on your laptop which should give you just enough space to take your files with you.

1115 NR also comes with a built-in web-cam. So whether you are at home or in an airport, you can participate in video conferences without too much trouble. You also get wireless G connection on Mini 1115NR which is fast enough to get work done on the go.

Overall, this is a solid netbook and a good choice if you are into HP products. The battery could be better. And I could’ve used wireless N support on this machine. But this is a green netbook and very sleek. I recommend this device to anyone who’s looking for a super portable laptop. It’s cheap too!

HP Mini 1115NR Accessories You Should Consider:

<a

So it’s no surprise to see them enter the netbook market, and you can be sure that they are in it to win it. Mini 12 is a larger version of Mini 9 that is not only capable but very portable at the same time. The 12 inch screen that you get with your netbook is more than easy on the eye. Mini 12 is known for being the perfect netbook for tweeters. It’s the perfect gadget for those who spend a lot of time on the Internet. The CPU is more than capable and you get more than enough memory to get things done on your Dell netbook. The Intel Atom Z520 uses a brand new 45nm (nanometer) design structure with new hafnium-infused circuitry–which reduces electrical current leakage in transistors to conserve energy. You do get only 3 hours of battery but you can always buy a 6 cell battery.

I find the device to be very well designed. In addition to a 12.1″ screen, you also get TrueLife high-gloss technology that reduces the glare you get on this netbook. The Wi-Fi support and blue-tooth let you get more work done without worrying about wires. And if you want to conduct video-conferences while you are on the go, you can easily do so using the 1.3 MP camera available on this netbook. The 3 USB 2.0 ports make it easy to connect more accessories as you need them.

What I was impressed about with Dell Mini 12 is the online storage that you get with Box.net. You can expand your storage to 25 GB if you prefer. This feature allows you to put your precious files online and protect them against hard drive accidents. Dell Inspiron Mini 12 weighs only 2.72 lbs, which makes this netbook a dream come true for tweeters on the go.

Verdict: B+. Overall, Dell Mini IM12-2868 is cool netbook that makes a great Internet gadget. It’s light and very well designed. The battery could be much better. I also like to see a faster CPU. And the price is a bit on the high side. Nevertheless, Dell Mini 12 is a solid choice if you are looking for a top netbook.
<div

It is designed for business professionals and those who are constantly on the go. The device is tiny and yet powerful enough to allow you to get the job done. ASUS is known for putting extra attention in quality, and this netbook is certainly a high quality item. So let’s see what 904HA has to offer:

Screen: you get a 8.9 inch screen that is not too big but doesn’t require you to put extra burden on your eyes to see things on your laptop.

CPU: Atom N270 has become the standard CPU on top netbooks these days. N280 is coming to new netbooks but you still get a lot of value with this CPU.

Battery: Asus’ hybrid energy is legendary for allowing folks to use their batteries for hours. It’s just an efficient engine that gets you more out of your battery. In this case, you get about 5.5 hours of work time with your netbook.

Keyboard: I found the keyword to be not too hard to get used to. When you switch from an 18 inch laptop to a 9 inch one, you are always going to have to adjust, but this one was very easy to get used to.

Wireless: I wish this item supported wireless N connection. You do get the standard wireless G support, which is fast enough to get work done.

Hard Drive: you get a 160 GB hard drive with your Eee PC. Your drive comes with 2 equal 80 GB partitions. That’s probably the best way if you want to use one drive to back up your important data and the other for your OS activities.

Weight: 904HA weighs about 3 pounds. It’s easy to take it over your trips.

Web Cam: the Web Cam on this device comes with 1.3 MP resolution. It is great for having video chats while you are on the go.

Eee Storage: this is my favorite feature. You get 10GB Eee Storage with easy accessibility anywhere online. If you have valuable files that you want to backup, this is a life-saver.

<a

The Wind features an ergonomically designed keyboard that is only 20% smaller than a full sized notebook keyboard. One of the big issues that folks have with smaller devices is the fact that they find their keywords harder to use. In addition, the 1024 x 600 screen resolution can fully display web pages, which makes it ideal for Internet browsing. I like the fact that MSI Wind comes with a wireless N adapter, and the 1.3 MP web-cam makes it easy to do video chat. The facial recognition software is a plus here.

<a

MSI Wind costs only $350 and is an affordable solutions for those who live a mobile life. NC10-11GP is attractive and very portable yet pack the power needed to get business or college work done. Here is what you get with this laptop:
<ul

More than enough for a mobile user, though I would like to see them increase it to 250 or 300 GB.

Connectivity: 802.11 b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, 10/100 BaseTX LAN. It would be great if wireless N was suggested but a lot of networks around the nation are wireless g. And you can still connect to N networks.

Battery: 6-Cell Lithium Ion lasts 8 hours for you, which is long enough to get some real work done without an adapter being needed.

Weight: only 2.8. Ultra portable.

This netbook comes with Genuine Microsoft XP Home with Service Pack 3, a 1.3 Mega Pixel webcam, a Kensington Key Lock, and 1 year standard parts and labor. The device is in the $400, but still more affordable than fully-fledged laptops. Samsung NC10-11GP 10.2-Inch Netbook has some nice features. I would have loved to see backlit keyboard with this netbook. But overall, the power and portability of this netbook makes it attractive to anyone who lives a mobile way of life.
<div
