I have never been a fan of subsidized netbooks. The idea of paying thousands of dollars to save a couple of hundred dollars has never made sense to me. But some people don’t have a need for a netbook unless they can get wireless Internet on it at all times. For those people, subsidized netbooks could make sense. That is if wireless companies offer them a good bunch of netbooks to choose from. If you have been shopping around for a wireless netbook bundle, you are going to have one more option to choose from — Samsung Go.
Samsung Go is one of the best netbooks on the market, and it is going to be subsidized through AT&T. It’s about time wireless companies offered a decent subsidized netbook. Samsung Go is certainly that and more. Here is what Samsung had to say about this piece of news:
Samsung today announced the upcoming availability of the Samsung Go™, a compact and lightweight netbook with instant access to broadband speeds powered by the nation’s fastest 3G network and the Microsoft Windows 7 Starter Edition operating system…. The Go will be available beginning Nov. 22 through AT&T retail locations or online at www.att.com/netbooks.
That’s certainly good news for people who are looking for these bundles. If you are to spend a big chuck of money on a wireless + netbook bundle, you may as well pay to get a decent netbook. Samsung Go is certainly that.
