Retailers Gear Up for Black Friday Netbook Deals

ASUS Eee

There has never been a better time to pick up a netbook. 2009 is finally coming to a close and many netbook makers are gearing up for the next generations of their netbook models. So you can expect the price of current generation netbooks to drop for these holiday seasons. Amazon is one of the top retailers that has dropped its netbook prices dramatically in the past few days, perhaps to boost sales ahead of the holiday season.

Take ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X. It used to be sold for $380, but it’s now going for close to $340. The same goes with top Toshiba netbooks that have received some discount as well. Black Friday will let you save even more on some of these netbooks, though you may have to get to a store to take advantage of those limited quantity deals. But if you have needed a netbook for business or travel, the time to purchase one is now.

What you do want to pay attention with Black Friday netbook deals is the quality of the device you are picking up. While you can expect to receive some discount on popular netbook models, don’t go for deals that sound too good to be true. You can always check our netbook rankings to compare netbooks, but what you don’t want to do is pick up a netbook that is a waste of money (there are a few of them around). If you can get up early and get to your stores early, you may be able to save some money this coming Friday. But Amazon and other e-retailers are dropping their prices as well, so stay tuned.
