MSI U130 Netbook Debuts

MSI U130-416US 10-Inch Black Netbook - 3 Hour Battery Life

MSI may not have as many netbooks as ASUS and some other netbook manufacturers on the market. But the company does a decent job of creating high quality netbooks. The company was the first to offer a netbook with 15 hours of battery, which was a decent netbook. With Intel releasing its PineTrail processors, MSI is giving its netbooks an upgrade. MSI U130 is the latest netbook line from MSI that is affordable and packs a punch. It takes advantage of N450 and Windows 7. It may not come with 2 GB RAM that all netbook fans want to see in their devices, but it does allow for an upgrade. The device does work with all kinds of media and has a decent webcam as well which makes connecting with others on the go easy.

Here is a summary of what’s included in this netbook:

  • Processor: 1.66GHz Intel N450 Atom
  • RAM: 1GB DDR2 667 Mhz SO-DIMM RAM (1 Slot) upgradable to 2 GB MAX
  • Hard drive: 160GB 2.5-Inch SATA Hard Drive
  • Connectivity: Wireless 802.11 b/g/n, 4-1 Card Read (XD/SD/MMC/ MS)
  • Display: 10″ 1024×600 LCD Display
  • Webcam: 1.3MP Webcam
  • O/S: Window 7 Starter

It’s tough to see this netbook competing with other top netbooks on the market. But it is more affordable than a lot of other N450 netbooks on the market, and it does offer a lot of their features as well. The battery will probably need to be improved and Windows 7 Starter is a pain as well. But if you are looking for an affordable laptop that has the latest processing technology on board, MSI U130 could come in handy.
