MSI Going After Rival Tablets with Wind-Pad

We already know tablets are the talk of town these days. But when netbook manufacturers start unveiling their own tablets, you know this is the market for all these companies to be involved in. ASUS has already introduced Eee Pad. MSI plans to respond with MSI Wind-Pad. Wind Pad will feature a 10-inch, 1024×600 touch-screen and a  1.66GHz Atom processor. The device will also offer 2GB RAM and a 32GB SSD in addition to 3G support and  eight-hour battery life. Not bad for a Windows tablet.

While it’s a shame that MSI has decided to go with Windows 7 as the OS for this device, the previous devices from this brand have been decent enough for us not to write off this one from the get go. It’d be interesting to see whether this device will offer anything close to 8 hours of battery life. The Eee Pad does look much more fun on the surface, but MSI Wind-Pad will have its own fans.
