Did Retailers Jump the Gun with HP Mini 210?

HP Mini 210 is a next generation HP netbook that takes advantage of Intel Pinetrail technology to bring more p0wer to its owners. The device sounds and looks very exciting. But the funny thing is, HP has not officially released HP Mini 210 to the market. Kudos to Techtree for catching retailers jumping the gun on HP Mini 210. Even HP itself has posted information on HP Mini 210 on its website. So we may be very close to the official announcement for this device:

eCost.com goes one step further as it has Mini 210′s page up and running already. Apparently, you are going to pay somewhere between $340-$370 for this device. Here are the specifications according to eCost.com:

• Processor: Intel Atom N450
• Display: 10.1″ Flush Glass
• RAM; 1GB
• Hard Drive: 160GB
• Operating System: Win7 Starter

No word yet on battery life, but HP Mini 210 looks like a very decent netbook for a decent device, considering that it takes advantage of Intel’s latest ATOM CPU. The RAM, wireless, and hard drive could have been better, so let’s hope HP offers system customization for HP Mini 210 netbook as well.
