CES 2010 was supposed to be the coming out party for the next generation netbooks, and so far the event hasn’t disappointed. Not only have we seen new netbooks from ASUS released ahead of the event,we have gotten a taste of what the future netbooks will be capable of with the latest HP and Lenovo netbooks. HP is adding a bunch of new netbooks to its line up. HP Mini 5102 netbook is a cool new edition to the netbook family that not only comes with the latest processor technology, but it is a touch-enabled netbook as well. It’s capable of handing HD videos as well, which is exciting.
Ideapad S10-3t netbook is a netbook/tablet hybrid that comes equipped with a multi-touch screen. As you would expect with a tablet, you can rotate this device’s screen 180 degrees as well. 2010 was always going to be the year of tablet, so it’s not surprising to see companies such as HP and Lenovo tackle the new year with their own netbook/tablet hybrids.
What I am personally excited about is the introduction of EeePC keyboard. It’s a netbook in a keyboard. This keyboard-PC is not your average everyday gadget. It comes with everything you need to get work done (even though the specifications are not earth-shattering). ASUSteK continues to innovate and EeePC keyboard is another interesting move by a company that is taking the Eee brand places.
