HP is not going to sit around and let Apple have all the fun. The company has announced that it will introduce HP TouchPad to the market soon. But HP has bigger plans for webOS. Not only it plans to bring this OS to its tablets, it plans to try webOS on computers too.

Apparently, HP plans to bring webOS on multiple devices to let them communicate with other webOS devices more effectively. A webOS netbook would be a welcome addition to the market that is struggling to gain momentum. HP’s webOS strategy is risky at best. Android and iOS will be tough challenges for webOS. It is not clear whether webOS can make an impact in the computer markets either. It will be interesting to see how committed HP stays to webOS.
<div

It does help that the device packs more power than other netbooks and runs Windows 7 premium (instead of Windows 7 starter).

Here is a summary of what’s included with this netbook:

Processor: Intel Atom Processor N450 (1.66 GHz)

Memory: 2 GB DDR2 System Memory

Hard Drive: 250GB (7200RPM) Hard Drive

Display: 10.1″ Diagonal WSVGA LED HP BrightView Infinity Widescreen Display (1024 x 600)

Graphics: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 (shared) with up to 256MB Total Available Graphics Memory

Operating System: Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Weight: 2.69 lbs.

<span

While it’s designed for those who pay attention to fashion, it can be used by anyone who’s interested in consuming video or doing video chats on the go. The only downside is the battery life and this netbook’s lack of support Wireless N technology. The price can be another issue as this netbook is not cheap. But that’s always been the case with Vivienne netbooks. The device is currently available for pre-order with no word on when it will be released.
<div

If you are a fan of HP products, you are going to be familiar with what you get with 1115 NR. The device weighs only 2.25 and only 1″ thin, making it a super portable laptop solution for those who are constantly on the go.

You get the standard N270 CPU with this netbook. You also get Windows XP, which is the case with most netbooks. The keyboard is nearly full size (92%), so you should have too much trouble adapting to this machine. The screen size is 8.9″ which is a bit small for my taste, but what a lot of people have come to love. You also get 16 GB solid state drive on your laptop which should give you just enough space to take your files with you.

1115 NR also comes with a built-in web-cam. So whether you are at home or in an airport, you can participate in video conferences without too much trouble. You also get wireless G connection on Mini 1115NR which is fast enough to get work done on the go.

Overall, this is a solid netbook and a good choice if you are into HP products. The battery could be better. And I could’ve used wireless N support on this machine. But this is a green netbook and very sleek. I recommend this device to anyone who’s looking for a super portable laptop. It’s cheap too!

HP Mini 1115NR Accessories You Should Consider:

<a

So if you spend that kind of money on a netbook, shouldn’t you invest in a protective case that keeps your netbook safe against accidents, dust, and scratches? That’s exactly what you can do with <a

Accidents happen, and the last thing you want to deal with is a broken netbook due to an unfortunate accident. This case is designed specifically for HP Mini 1000 Series (1110NR, 1120NR or 1140NR). It also provides you with enough space to fit your adapter and other add-ons for your netbook.

<img

The bands inside the case keep your netbook still, so you won’t damage anything by constant movement.

Overall, this <a

Like most netbook these days, the device comes with an Atom N270 CPU (clocked at 1.6 Ghz). You also get 2 GB of Ram and a 160 GB HDD which should be plenty enough for most folks on the go.

Unlike most netbooks, HP 2140 comes with Windows Vista. In addition, you get a wireless N adapter that allows you to enjoy faster wireless speeds. And who wouldn’t like the web cam and the adequate 10.1″ screen.

<img

The design is sleek, and you can easily take this netbook with you on your travels. The keyboard is one of the best I have seen. Hp Drive Guide 3d technology is truly a life saver if you happen to drop your netbook.

I still would like to see a better screen resolution on this device. The battery lasted for about 3 hours for me, which is to be expected from a 3-cell battery. But the 6-cell batteries are not that portable, so you’ve got a dilemma on your hand.

<span

The screen is big enough to get the job done without hurting your eyes. The design is impressive and doesn’t look cheap at all. And the keyboard is out of this world. Overall, if you are looking for an all-in-one portable solution, HP Mini Note is worth considering.
<div
