So much for AMD not being interested in the netbook market? The company had focused mainly on more lucrative markets, but we all knew it was a matter of time before the company entered the netbook market. ASUS, which seems to be at the forefront of many new developments in the netbook market, is planning to utilize an AMD dual core CPU in Eee PC 1201T. So you not only get what AMD has to offer, but your dual core netbook can handle those complex applications more easily.

Here are a few features that you get with ASUS’ upcoming netbook:

  • 12.1” 1366 x 768 display
  • AMD Congo dual-core MV40 (1.6GHz) processor
  • RS780MN chipset
  • ATI Radeon HD3200 integrated graphics
  • 2GB RAM
  • 320GB HDD with online storage
  • 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi

It’s certainly not your average netbook. With 2 gigs of RAM and a decent graphics chip, this netbook is certainly as capable as some of the laptops on the market. Of course, don’t expect to get this netbook for cheap.
