Asus Eee PC T101MT Netbook Now Shipping

ASUS may not have an iPad killer out on the market at this point, but it has had a few tablet/netbook hybrids in the past. You can now add Asus Eee PC T101MT Netbook to the list. It’s the latest iteration of ASUS tablet netbook line that comes with a faster CPU and much more power to give you more options when using your tablet. It comes with N450 processor and 160 GB of hard drive. You also get multi-touch support and 1 GB RAM. What you don’t get is Windows 7 Home Premium, which you will need to take advantage of your device’s multi-touch feature (duh!).

Here is a summary of what’s included in this netbook:

  • Intel ATOM N450 CPU
  • 1GB DDR2 1 x SODIMM slot; up to 2G;
  • 160GB Hard drive
  • 10.1″ Touch Screen (Multi Touch w/ Windows 7 Home Premium OS)
  • 802.11 bgn; Bluetooth
  • .3M pixel camera
  • Windows 7 Starter OS
  • 6.5 hours of battery life.

This convertible tablet has a decent leg of on its predecessors. At the same time, it’s a shame that it does not come with a better camera, more RAM, and a premium version of Windows. This tablet is not going to be for everyone. It will most likely come useful for artists and business professionals. But the manufacturer should have included the right version of Windows with the device.
