ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1001P Now Shipping

ASUS has some of the best netbooks on the market, and that trend seems to be still going on with all the new models that the company has released to the market. We already have seen 1005PE and 1201N netbooks that are more energy efficient and powerful respectively. But ASUS is not stopping there. ASUS 1001P is a highly portable and energy efficient netbook that is designed for those who spend a lot of time on the road. The device is not as feature rich as 1005HE, but it’s certainly capable of holding its own against other netbooks on the market.

So what’s the difference between ASUS 1001P and ASUS 1005HE netbooks? The latter comes with more connectivity features, and it also gives you more battery life for the go. It also has more storage for those who need to store large files on their netbook or online. Just like previous generation ASUS netbooks, 1oo1P comes with two flavors. 1001P MU is a bit more affordable but has even less storage space (160 GB).

ASUS currently has some of the best netbooks on the market, but we certainly don’t like the parent company’s practice of introducing multiple netbook models that are very similar in features. That just adds to consumer confusion. It does help that most ASUS netbooks are solid all around, so whichever you choose, you are likely to get a decent netbook.
