Dual boot netbooks have been tried before. It seems they are making a come-back, at least as far as Acer is concerned. Acer Aspire One D260 netbook lets you use both Windows 7 and Android on your netbook. While we are not sold on the idea of Windows 7 on netbooks, one has to give Acer credit for giving its fans the option to switch to a lighter OS on their netbook.

Here are some of the features offered with this netbook:

  • Screen: 10.1 inch, 1,024 x 600 display
  • Processor: 1.66GHz Atom N455
  • RAM: 2GB of DDR3
  • Graphics: Intel GMA 3150 graphics
  • Hard Drive: 250GB hard drive
  • Networking: Wireless N, Bluetooth, Ethernet …
  • Battery: 8 hour battery life

There is not much more information available on this device. The device is rumored to be due on July 1st. It will most likely be priced in $350-$450 range. Android is quite a nice option to have to boot a netbook with.
